Lavandin is a natural hybrid of true lavender and spike lavender, first identified in the French highlands in the early 20th century. Its higher yield made it a staple in the perfume and cleaning product industries. 醒目薰衣草是真正薰衣草與穗花薰衣草的天然雜交種，於 20 世紀初在法國高地被發現，因產量較高，逐漸成為香水與清潔用品產業的主要用油。
